A movie that brings memories and truth in life. Getai had left my life many years ago when there is no more getai around my place. In the past, i felt irritated by the old fashion music and the "han biao" going on, it causes a lot of noise, and especially when u are studying for exams, the noise is unbearable. However, many years down the road, i kind of miss that "noise". The noise that only can hear it on the lunar 7th month. AS people are being more globalised, high-tech and we are slowly abandoning our basic culture that we grow up with. I am one of them. Sad to say that i was not a big fan of Getai but will still catch them when i was young. And buying those street side food like Muaichee is really fun. The hokkien songs in the movie are very touching, and brought back many and many memories, when me and my bro will squeeze to the front of the stage to get a glimpse of the performers... Looking back is not always a bad things, but we need to bring them to the future for more younger generation to see.
