This is my last 2008 night in Singapore. Kind of miss it. A gathering of BMT friends brings back many funny and cocky memories of the NS. Laughing and fooling on each other...That is friends. I miss them a lot. they decided to meet at jurong point as jek works there, but poor me, i end work at pasir ris. So i travelled all the way to Jp after teaching for whole day. It was tired. I fell asleep on train. while reaching Jp, surprisely realise there are 2 Jp- Jp 1 and Jp2(the newly extension). With crowds and crowds, i window-shop a while while waiting for the rest to come. i like the feeling of seeing them...miss the period when we see each other everyday, cracking lame jokes and doing silly things, although we grown up...but we still do those stupid things...haha

I went to Shaw Isetan (newly rennovated) and bought 2 Ck steel microfibre undies for $59. Good bargain. Microfibre cost $40 plus each. And i also bought socks and batteries. I left with small locks, ziplock bags, insect repellent, change currency and daily contact lenses for my backpack trip.

We won after so much time, effort, music, sweat, hardwork, money, PR, practices and practices for past few months, we finally make it to the last stage. Everyone feel tired but excited at the same time as we finally yield the fruit we grow. It has been tough from arranging musicians, to choice pieces, to scores, to conductors to different admin problem. Really a huge success. Is 2.08am and i still very awake. cannot subside the emotional blood rushing around me... first time i took part in the ensemble. So elated.

Thanks every artssphere ensemble members for the time we spend together this few weeks, i learnt a lot from you all. And definitely thanks Ms Zhang Rong Hui for teaching us wonderful skill and our music director, conductor Mr Quek, and Mr Cao who travel all the way from Beijing to practise with us. A huge thanks to those families' clan who supported us throughout all this!

We gathered at sushi tei for a dinner before i leave for my backpack trip next week. it has been really a long time since i saw them. everyone is very busy with their work and life...and friends are usually left behind. thanks jonathon for the gathering...and we pay for jonathon share as his birthday celebration. we share, we laugh, we make fun and that are what friends are for.

After work and competition practice, i am really really tired. But passion burning in me always able to recharge my "low" battery and energize me again. I need to work hard and even harder next semester with 4 core modules and preparing my little mini solo concert (hopefully i can!)

A little too very tired.

First round of competition finally over. Huiru and minhui get into the final round. They did very well as expected. But i just feel that competition is fake- a lie and a illusion for competitors to fall into. Sometime i wondered what ruler the judges use to decide who should and should not enter final or get the awards. "is so black-so subjective, and easily influenced by personal relationship!!" How could it be ever fair? I tell myself nothing is fair. I always believe and agree to what my Ms Zhang told me- 'music should be natural and beautiful to hear'. But some prefer to use fake expression and untruthful technique to handle music, making it not natural and not nice to hear. After each competition (taking or not taking part), i experienced the disgusting and hope in human. Disgusted by fake and and unnatural music expression. Hope when i see people putting effort to work towards their goals. when my competition ends?
